The final version of trade with Cam Whitmore involves the Rockets receiving the draft rights to Mojave King from the New Orleans Pelicans. King is said to be a strong, athletic, and well-developed guard that can guard multiple positions while also having long arms to enable him to contest shots and grab rebounds in traffic. He’ll likely be a developmental piece in immediate future but could turn into a solid two-way role player.

The Rockets agreed to send Cam Whitmore to Washington Wizards in exchange for two 2nd round draft picks. His playing time has been limited in Houston but he has great potential. The picks that Rockets receive are from Bulls in 2026 and Kings in 2029. Since both teams missed playoffs last season, the picks could possibly be in the top half of the 2nd round.
